I enjoy having breakfast in bed. I like waking up to the smell of bacon- sue me- and since I don''t have a butler, I have to do it myself. So most nights before I go to bed I will lay six strips of bacon out on my George Foreman Grill. Then I go to sleep. When I wake up, I plug in the grill. I go back to sleep again. Rating: - These Grills Just Keep Getting Better
I've owned several George Foreman grills over the years, and it's nice to see they keep making improvements.
One of the drawbacks was always that they weren't easy to clean. You couldn't put them in the dishwasher or wash in a sink without putting the whole unit there (not recommended). This has been fixed with the removable grilling plates. Most of the time I can just wipe off with a paper towel, but it's nice to be able to remove the plates for a thorough washing every so often. In February 2008 I purchased a George Foreman GRP4 Series grill from Amazon.com. I have been absolutely thrilled with it. I've been using it almost daily, and sometimes more than once in a day.
In September, however, the non-stick surface started to deteriorate...quickly. I have never used anything other than the included spatula/cleaning tool and a soft sponge to clean the grill surfaces.
